Open Interval

Objets Trouvés form the instruments for Open Interval. I explored them during a percussive session recorded at Tapetenfabrik Bonn Beuel.
The idea of creating an aggressive, bizzare clanging of bells came to me when I studied the sound of a long, heavy piece of metal.

To me it seemed to announce its escape from the punch press with a full peal. As if coming from inside the safety of a church interior I let voice and bass fiddle form a contrast to the jangling of chains, the crashing sheets of iron, and the bells of the swaying belfry.
