The boulder rushes through space with around 37 thousand mph. It is named after the Italian physicist Vito Volterra. When approaching, you navigated through entire fields of precariously tumbling rocks.
I thought of that once when I brought the musical objects for this piece onto the acoustic stage to choreograph their ballet.

I dedicate the piece to Christina Kubisch, who with her exhibition "
»Electrical Moods« inspired me to create musique concrète from the sounds of electromagnetic fields made audible.
